Who We Are

Chris Meyers was the lead assistant coach for Texas Express Basketball 17U girls for the last three seasons. Chris is a Fort Worth native and step-father of four. In his playing days, he was a multi-sport athlete at Brewer High School. As a coach, he emphasizes the development of players mentally, stressing the nuances of the game. Chris teaches his players an understanding of the game just as much as he focuses on the physical development of players. He is a dedicated coach who will stop at nothing to help his athletes achieve their goals. He believes that instilling confidence and knowledge into each and every player is the best way to help them grow both on and off the court. He has a level of competitiveness, passion, and love for the game of basketball that is unmatched. His philosophy of the game—and life in general—is that everything you do in life, do it with everything you have in you, and do it with conviction, passion, and joy.
