Lindsey started playing basketball in 6th grade and quickly fell in love with it. In high school, Lindsey ran cross-country, played volleyball, basketball and softball. She also played soccer goalie for a 3-on-3 league. She was involved in fine arts, as well. She was in four of her high school’s musicals, and was on the stage crew as well. She was in the YMCA Texas Youth and Government, as well, earning “Distinguished Delegate” at the state conference. She was an All-State basketball player, learning the game from legends like Leta Andrews, Joe Lombard, Dean Weese and Carlos Ratliff. Lindsey went to Abilene Christian University to play basketball as a member of the Lady Wildcats basketball team. She earned two degrees from ACU, a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science. While at ACU, she was on the Homecoming Steering Committee and was an active member in the Delta Theta sorority.

A certified teacher in All-Levels PE, Secondary English Language Arts, Secondary Journalism and English as a Second Language, Lindsey has been a teacher and coach for 22 years. She started her coaching career at a junior high in Arlington ISD. She then went on to coach at Grand Prairie ISD, where her mentor taught her more than just the game. Lindsey went on to coach under Sue Cannon, one of the winningest girls’ high school basketball coaches in the nation, at Trinity High School, taking her teams to the playoffs. Lindsey then coached at Lake Country Christian School where she led the Lady Eagles to the TAPPS 4A State Championship in 2018. Most recently, she was coaching at Chisholm Trail High School in Fort Worth.

In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys the outdoors camping, Jeeping and doing anything around the water. Lindsey resides in Saginaw with her husband, Matt, her two daughters who play basketball for Six Shooters, and her step son.
